During a pandemic and in the middle of the current surge, the Pierce County Council is proposing to dissolve the Tacoma Pierce County Health Department. It is egregious and a threat to our community and those we serve.
Contact your Pierce County Councilmember TODAY and urge them to oppose Proposed Ordinance No. 2020-136.
The Tacoma Pierce County Health Department has successfully served the citizens of Tacoma and Pierce County for 30 years. Now is not the time for such a dramatic change.
This is an unnecessary disruption to an already fragile healthcare system and a distraction the physician community does not need nor welcomes this absurd legislation.
It is critical that the Council hears from our members, especially those from Bonney Lake, Puyallup, and Lakewood.
PCMS Members are also encouraged to testify against this ordinance on December 7 and 15 when this measure is presented for further consideration and vote.
Share this message with your networks and practices. Don't allow TPCHD to be dissolved during a public health emergency!
