As summer break winds down many families will schedule a check up for their kids before school starts. Having an updated plan with a child's school nurse is important to ensure good continuity of care during the school year. Some children may require epinephrine due to food or other life threatening allergies while at school.

The Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) has specific guidelines for care of students with anaphylaxis as adopted by the legislature. We have summarized this guidance for your reference and use.
