Some reception positions will also include the tasks of printing superbills, preparing and filing charts, as well as other routine clerical duties.

Medical Biller
A Medical Biller is responsible for processing and maintaining medical records relating to billing and collections. A biller must be able to deal with patient inquiries via the phone and in person. ARNP's can prescribe and dispense medications, and consult with the Physician as necessary. A current Washington State RN and ARNP license are required.

Physician assistants (PA's) provide healthcare services under the supervision of Physicians. They should not be confused with Medical Assistants (MA's), who perform routine clinical and clerical tasks. PA's are trained to provide diagnostic and preventive healthcare services as delegated by a physician. Working as members of the healthcare team, they take medical histories, examine and treat patients, order and interpret laboratory tests and x-rays, make diagnoses, and prescribe medications. They also treat minor injuries, by suturing, splinting, and casting. PA's record progress notes, instruct and counsel patients, and order or carry out therapy.
